The research and methodological framework are the result of a study and research process conducted by a working group, under the scientific supervision of Professor Susanna Mantovani.
She is Honorary Professor at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where she served as Deputy Pro-Rector. She has taught General and Social Pedagogy. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with the OECD as a scientific consultant on early childhood education projects and has been a member of numerous ministerial committees for the definition of Italian education policies.

Learning by Languages is the brand of excellence, born in Reggio Emilia, dedicated to the development of cutting-edge educational skills for children aged 0-10, a system of products and services for quality education. The Director of Innovation and Development is Sabrina Bonaccini, a pedagogue with over thirty years of experience in educational planning, training, research, and innovation in early childhood services.
Educademi is an agency for the development of educational professionals, specializing in training, publishing, and consulting for the early childhood education system. It is a network of professors and researchers from leading Italian universities, as well as the most qualified national initiatives related to the education and school sector. Educademi is a brand that encompasses the magazines Bambini, Infanzia, and Edizioni Junior.
This group identified the theoretical framework and structured the tool, which has both a self-training and social learning nature.
The methodological framework and the Junior and Senior self-assessment questionnaires are the result of collaboration between the research team at Bicocca University and the Educademi working group. Building on this already structured framework, the “Challenges of the Present” and “Pedagogists” assessment questionnaires were developed by the Learning by Languages team.
